Aashni & Co Wedding Show Experience + Vlog

Amazing garden instillation by the talented Zita Elze.

Hey guys!
On Sunday the 10th of January I was teleported to the land of Indian wedding dreams aka the Aashni & Co Wedding Show. Today I'll be sharing my experience with you guys in this blog post as well as in a vlog, so if you'd like to see my full journey please click here or on the video below (My wedding show experience starts at 10:13)

This years wedding show started off with a bang as we had the chance to interview and speak to the designers before the event started. After talking to the designers I couldn't help but feel inspired, the way they talked about their work with such passion was amazing. Not only that but the designers themselves were extremely kind and humble, taking time to talk to us all and even cracking a few jokes.

This year they had an amazing line up with some of the designers in attendance! Anamika Khanna, Anju Modi, Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Varun Bahl, Akanksha Gajria, Ridhima Bhasin, Gaurav Gupta, Masaba, Rimple Narula, Samant Chauhan, Faraz Manan, Sonali Gupta and Paras Modi of SVA.

After the press action we were free to look around and have fun. Seeing the clothes up close was a magical experience, while the photos and videos look amazing actually seeing them in person is something else. The details and colours come to life and blow you away. Not only that but you were allowed to try on outfits and talk to the designers themselves which made the experience even more magical. The Aashni & Co Wedding Show was every bride's fairy godmother!

And don't forget you can visit Aashni & Co in London with two floors of haute couture, ready-to-wear collections, jewellery and accessories all the way from India!

Me and Tahell just before the press action started!

The amazing designer Sabyasachi, listening to him talk about his work and his experience was inspirational. He was extremely sweet and humble and spent time answering everyone's questions.

Gorgeous rack of lehengas as you walked into the first room.

I am in love with this gorgeous garden created by Zita Elze, I felt like I was in Bambi or Snow White!

Stunning bridal lehenga in the Zita Elze garden, I absolutely love the way they lit the room with different spotlights and candles. It made the whole experience so magical, it felt like you were walking onto a movie set!

Beautiful Sabyasachi saree in the Zita Elze garden.

With the man himself, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. He was so lovely and humble!

Sabyasachi's jaw dropping display filled with gold details and beautiful shades of red.

Gorgeous models wearing Faraz Manan's designs.

Anita Dongre's beautiful stall.

The very talented Summaya working her magic on the models!

Overall the event was amazing, if you're a bride to be or just a lover of fashion I would definitely recommend attending the next one. Words can't even begin to describe how beautiful and amazing the event was. Thanks again to the Aashni & Co team for sending us tickets, we had a wonderful time!

Hope you enjoyed reading/watching my experience!

Abaya - Blessed Hijabs | Shoes - New Look | Lashes - Lashionary 'Feline' | Lips - NYX 'Cannes'

Abayas, abayas, abayas!
Possibly one of my favourite things to wear because not only are they modest (hiding my food babies hehe) but they also look extremely elegant. I could be wearing my pajamas under here and no one would know! I have a few fancy abayas but this one has definitely got to be my favourite. Blessed Hijabs has a beautiful selection of elegant abayas from Dubai perfect for any occasion. The one I'm wearing today is their 'Abaya Chemsa' with this gorgeous cotton lace detailing and tassel belt, it also has the option of being worn open or closed so you can either hide your pajamas or show off another outfit underneath - it's perfect for dramatic outfit changes aha.

Anyhoo, what do you think of abayas? Will you be rocking them too?
Let me know!

Aashni & Co Wedding Show I

Hey guys!

I was lucky enough to get two tickets to the Aashni & Co Wedding Show (tickets available here £30) tomorrow at the Dorchester and I am extremely excited. Not only will we be able to see some insanely beautiful designer pieces up close but we will also be able to meet some of the amazing, talented creators behind the gorgeous designs.

In preparation for tomorrow, because lets face it - I'll be in an Indian dreamworld tomorrow, I'll be sharing five of my favourite looks from the designers I'll be seeing tomorrow!

Sabyasachi's work is a dream, so beautiful yet so badass with the styling. Definitely giving me some inspiration for my next lookbook!

Next up we have Anju Modi's gorgeous work which I'm sure everyone is familiar with, the looks she created for Bajirao Mastani had me speechless.

Faraz Manan's designs never fail to impress me taking ethereal to a whole new level, I feel like it's the kind of thing you should be wearing upon entering the gates of heaven.

Anita Dongre's designs are absolutely stunning, if you've seen her #TheWeddingDiaries (pictured above) you'll know what I'm talking about!

And last but not least we have Varun Bahl with his jaw dropping 'Song of the Flower' Collection!

I think it's safe to say that I won't be getting much sleep tonight, with the event tomorrow I'm buzzing with excitement! Keep your eyes peeled for part II of my Aashni & Co Wedding Show posts, next time I'll be talking about the event itself and hopefully showing you some cool pictures from the day.
